GWC, Yellow Door Energy Partner to Launch One of GCC’s Largest Private Solar Projects

Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) has announced a strategic partnership with Yellow Door Energy. The objective is to develop one of the GCC’s largest private solar energy projects. This partnership reinforces its commitment to sustainability and green logistics.

Matthew Kearns, Acting Group CEO of GWC, described the project as a pivotal step in embedding sustainable practices across the company’s operations. “Warehouses are central to our logistics ecosystem. This initiative introduces impactful solutions that align with our environmental goals,” he said.

The project supports GWC’s broader environmental strategy. This includes a targeted reduction of 3% in Scope 1 emissions (direct emissions) and 6% in Scope 2 emissions (indirect emissions). Additionally, there will be a 20% reduction in waste by 2030. As a signatory to the UN Global Compact, GWC continues to adopt socially responsible policies across its business verticals.

Yellow Door Energy, a leading solar developer in the Middle East and Africa, brings extensive expertise to the partnership. “We are proud to collaborate with GWC on this landmark project.”

They will oversee the design and construction, and manage long-term operations and maintenance.

This collaboration positions GWC as a key player in the region’s transition toward clean energy and sustainable industrial development.
