Fuad Hussein Highlights Economic Cooperation Boost Between Iraq and U.S.

Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein emphasized Iraq’s dedication to strengthening economic ties with the United States. He delivered these remarks during an interactive session held by the Iraq–U.S. Business Council in Baghdad.

Minister Fuad Hussein underscored the importance of fostering deeper commercial partnerships with American businesses. He described the relationship between both countries as robust and full of potential for growth.

He also highlighted the important role played by the Iraq–U.S. Business Council. In addition, he praised the institutional connection with the American Chamber of Commerce. These platforms, according to Hussein, open valuable opportunities for investment and trade.

Minister Hussein addressed the challenges facing economic expansion. He pointed to weaknesses in infrastructure and administrative obstacles as major concerns. He stressed the urgency of resolving these barriers through joint cooperation.

The foreign minister listened closely to business leaders and investors at the session. They discussed the difficulties that limit smoother operations in Iraq’s market. He responded by calling for stronger collaboration to create better conditions for investment.

Hussein noted that Iraqi diplomatic missions abroad are actively supporting investors. He said these missions offer vital assistance and ease the process for businesses entering the Iraqi market. This approach reflects the government’s broader strategy to attract and retain international investment.

The minister emphasized the goal of ensuring that Iraq becomes a favorable environment for investors. He invited more American companies to explore business opportunities across various sectors.

The focus on strengthening bilateral trade marks an important step for Iraq’s economic agenda. Through efforts like this, the economic cooperation boost between Iraq and the United States continues to grow stronger.

As more reforms unfold and collaboration deepens, this economic cooperation boost aims to deliver lasting benefits for both countries. Hussein’s remarks confirmed that building this partnership remains a top national priority.
