Commercial Bank and Microsoft Launch Inaugural DHL4SMEs Workshop to Empower Small Businesses

Commercial Bank, in collaboration with Microsoft, has hosted the first DHL4SMEs workshop. The event aimed to equip small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Qatar with cutting-edge digital and financial tools. These tools are intended to boost their growth and resilience in an increasingly competitive market.

Held at Commercial Bank Plaza, the event focused on digital transformation strategies and cybersecurity solutions tailored to SMEs. The workshop marks a key milestone in the DHL4SMEs initiative, which was launched in October 2024. This initiative provides comprehensive support for SMEs across various sectors.

Fahad Badar, Executive General Manager and Chief Wholesale and International Banking Officer at Commercial Bank, highlighted the importance of this collaboration. “This initiative underscores our ongoing commitment to supporting entrepreneurs by giving them the tools they need to succeed. Our partnership with Microsoft reflects a shared vision of using innovation to drive sustainable business growth,” he said.

The workshop provided attendees with practical insights into emerging technologies and digital financial strategies. These insights help them better navigate the challenges of today’s rapidly evolving business environment.

Ahmed Elfangary, Managing Director of DHL Express Qatar, also praised the initiative. He described it as a vital step toward fostering economic growth in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030. “The DHL4SMEs program is a shining example of how private sector collaboration can support SME innovation and expansion,” he stated.

The DHL4SMEs initiative positions Commercial Bank as a leading supporter of the SME sector in the region. It reinforces its role in shaping a digitally driven, knowledge-based economy.
