Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Meets with Singaporean Officials to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today with His Excellency Dr. Mohamad Maliki bin Othman. Dr. Othman is Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Education of Singapore. They met at the Ministry’s headquarters as part of Dr. Othman’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Dr. Al Zayani warmly welcomed his Singaporean counterpart. He emphasized the long-standing and deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and Singapore. He highlighted the mutual respect, appreciation, and fruitful cooperation that have defined their relationship. Moreover, he noted the progress achieved in various sectors.

Dr. Othman expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, reaffirming Singapore’s commitment to strengthening its friendly relations with Bahrain. He emphasized the desire to expand bilateral cooperation to further mutual interests and aspirations, wishing Bahrain continued growth and prosperity.

The two officials discussed several avenues for enhancing cooperation at multiple levels, including political, economic, and cultural ties. They also exchanged views on regional developments. Additionally, they reviewed ongoing international initiatives aimed at promoting peace, security, and stability. These discussions align with the shared goal of fostering prosperity for all.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Acting Undersecretary for Political Affairs. Additionally, Ms. Munira Nofal Al Dosari, Head of the Asian and Pacific Affairs Sector, was present.
