Bahrain Strengthens Global Role in Promoting Coexistence and Tolerance

Coexistence and tolerance continue to shape Bahrain’s identity, both within the country and on the international stage. A recent meeting between the Shura Council and the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance reaffirmed this national commitment.

Karima Mohammed Al-Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, highlighted Bahrain’s strong stance on peaceful coexistence. She praised the center’s efforts to advance values of openness, understanding, and cooperation across societies.

During the meeting, Al-Abbasi stressed the importance of collaborative initiatives that spread the message of coexistence and tolerance. She noted that the Shura Council is ready to support projects aimed at increasing public awareness, especially in parliamentary and community settings.

Additionally, she affirmed that Bahrain’s leadership has long promoted humanitarian values. These efforts have made the country a recognized model for peaceful living among diverse cultures and religions. The center’s work plays a vital role in preserving this image globally.

Abdullah Isa Al-Mannai, Executive Director of the King Hamad Global Centre, also attended the meeting. He expressed appreciation for the Council’s role in strengthening national dialogue. He noted that institutional partnerships can drive real change in how nations approach peaceful coexistence.

Moreover, the two parties discussed launching new programs to engage citizens in dialogue and civic responsibility. These plans aim to encourage more active participation in building a tolerant and inclusive society.

The center has previously worked with regional and global partners to amplify Bahrain’s message. Its initiatives focus on education, interfaith cooperation, and youth empowerment. These programs help communities reject hatred and embrace mutual respect.

Coexistence and tolerance remain essential to Bahrain’s national mission. As the country continues building bridges with others, local institutions are playing a bigger role in this global journey. The Shura Council’s involvement ensures that values of peace reach all levels of society.

By prioritizing coexistence and tolerance, Bahrain strengthens its position as a beacon of stability and understanding in a complex world. The partnership between the Council and the center marks another step toward a more united future.
