Bahrain Space Agency Hosts “Al-Mundhir Through Artistic Eyes” Exhibition

The Bahrain Space Agency recently celebrated the successful launch of the Bahraini satellite “Al-Mundhir” with a special exhibition titled “Al-Mundhir Through Artistic Eyes.” This event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Seef Mall Management. It featured the artwork from the “Best Drawing of the Al-Mundhir Satellite” competition. The exhibition provided students a platform to showcase their artistic visions of space.

A total of 652 students from various educational levels participated in the exhibition, which included children from kindergarten through high school. These students came from 97 schools across Bahrain. Their participation reflected the strong interest in space science among the younger generation. In fact, the exhibition combined art and technology, highlighting the creativity of the students and their visions of space.

Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Asiri, CEO of the Bahrain Space Agency, expressed his pride in the event. He stated, “We are thrilled to see such passion for space science among Bahraini students. This is a crucial field for our future.” Furthermore, he emphasized that the large-scale participation in this event clearly demonstrates the rising enthusiasm for space science.

In addition, Dr. Al Asiri extended his gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Seef Mall for their support. He also thanked Shaikha Dawa bint Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for leading the artwork evaluation team. Her contribution, along with the team’s efforts, was key to the exhibition’s success.

Shaikha Dawa Al Khalifa expressed her own excitement about the initiative. She remarked, “This exhibition allowed me to merge my love for art and space. It was a great opportunity to inspire future generations about the importance of space.”

Furthermore, the Bahrain Space Agency continues to prioritize space science awareness. By merging art with technology, this event reflects the agency’s dedication to inspiring young minds. Through initiatives like this, the agency is helping nurture the next generation of space professionals in Bahrain.

In summary, this exhibition not only highlights the importance of space science in Bahrain’s future but also contributes to developing creative skills. It is another step in preparing young people to contribute to Bahrain’s expanding space sector.
