Bahrain’s commitment to its citizens appeared once again when seven Bahraini fishermen detained in Qatar since October 10 returned home. They were held for entering Qatari waters while fishing, but firm diplomatic action quickly resolved the matter.
MP Jalal Kazem Al-Mahfouz announced their release and thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Interior, and Bahrain’s Ambassador to Qatar. He praised their teamwork and diplomatic skills, which ensured the fishermen’s safe return. He also confirmed that the authorities are arranging their reunion with their families.
Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy in Doha worked closely with Qatari officials throughout the case. Their constant communication and coordination showed Bahrain’s commitment to its citizens and its promise to defend their rights abroad.
Al-Mahfouz commended Qatar’s cooperative attitude, saying the move highlights the strong relations between both Gulf nations. He noted that mutual respect and open dialogue continue to strengthen regional unity. The successful release, he explained, proves that friendly diplomacy achieves better results than conflict.
He urged Bahraini fishermen to follow official guidelines and avoid crossing territorial boundaries. Al-Mahfouz reminded them that ignoring such rules could bring serious legal trouble. Respecting maritime laws, he added, reflects Bahrain’s civilized reputation and protects its citizens from unnecessary risks.
He encouraged all citizens to stay aware of international regulations before sailing. Awareness, he said, builds safety and preserves trust with neighboring countries. The event once again demonstrated Bahrain’s commitment to its citizens, ensuring they remain protected wherever they are.
Al-Mahfouz concluded by reaffirming that Bahrain will continue to strengthen diplomatic relations while safeguarding its people. The swift resolution of the fishermen’s case stands as solid proof of Bahrain’s commitment to its citizens and its dedication to every Bahraini abroad.
