Bahrain’s Ambassador to Russia, Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Saati, participated in a significant diplomatic gathering this week in Moscow. The Bahrain Palestinian Diplomatic Meeting took place during the official visit of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to the Russian Federation. President Abbas met with Arab diplomatic mission heads accredited to Moscow.
The meeting was held in conjunction with Russia’s celebrations marking 80 years since the end of World War II. President Abbas used the occasion to update Arab envoys on key developments regarding the Palestinian cause.
During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Saati conveyed warm greetings from Bahrain’s leadership. He passed along messages from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The ambassador also expressed Bahrain’s sincere wishes for the peace, stability, and progress of the Palestinian people.
In response, President Abbas thanked Bahrain’s leadership for their consistent support. He praised Bahrain’s continued backing of the Palestinian people and their efforts to secure an independent state. He restated the goal of establishing a sovereign nation based on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as the capital.
The Bahrain Palestinian Diplomatic Meeting offered a platform for broader discussion on the peace process. President Abbas emphasized that international cooperation remains crucial to achieving a lasting solution. He urged continued Arab unity in supporting justice for Palestine.
Bahrain has long supported diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving regional conflicts through peaceful means. To add to that, the Kingdom regularly participates in high-level political dialogues across the region. Its involvement in the Bahrain Palestinian Diplomatic Meeting shows Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to regional peace and diplomacy.
