Bahrain Ministry Launches Back-to-School Initiatives for Families

The back-to-school initiatives in Bahrain were launched by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to support families this academic season. These efforts aim to create a fair commercial environment that combines quality and affordable prices. The Ministry stressed that the initiatives reflect its commitment to consumers, including both citizens and residents.

The Ministry’s Consumer Protection Department also introduced the “Consumer Friend” platform. This special platform encourages businesses to join by offering discounts on school-related products. Items included range from stationery and uniforms to electronic devices, printers, furniture, and even eyeglasses. The back-to-school initiatives in Bahrain are designed to ease the financial burden on families while ensuring students have access to all essentials.

Additionally, the platform covers diverse categories such as cooking utensils, school food items, and even vehicles. The initiative runs until November 2025, giving retailers ample time to contribute. The Ministry explained that this project also builds trust between the commercial sector and the community. Retailers now have a clear opportunity to showcase their role in supporting Bahraini families.

Meanwhile, the Inspection Directorate has begun a comprehensive inspection plan across all governorates. The plan focuses on monitoring product quality and ensuring compliance with official standards. Inspectors also track pricing to maintain fair competitiveness while checking the availability and variety of goods. These steps guarantee families receive reliable products at reasonable prices.

The Ministry emphasized that the back-to-school season represents an important moment for society. It strengthens cooperation between public and private sectors while highlighting the importance of shared responsibility. Officials believe that such initiatives will provide a smoother school year for students. The back-to-school initiatives in Bahrain also encourage businesses to engage more directly with community needs.

Furthermore, the Ministry expressed pride in the awareness of Bahraini families. It also praised the commercial sector for its commitment to providing quality products. This joint cooperation reflects a shared vision for community well-being and educational success.

In conclusion, the Ministry confirmed that these initiatives represent more than seasonal discounts. They symbolize a structured effort to balance affordability with quality, while ensuring a promising start for all students in Bahrain.
