Bahrain Launches Basair Program to Empower Youth with Islamic Knowledge

Bahrain has launched the preparatory phase of the Basair Program to strengthen young people’s Islamic knowledge. The program guides students to build faith, patience, and contentment while avoiding anxiety and worry. It focuses on learning, understanding, and applying Islamic knowledge in daily life.

The opening session took place at Al-Hassan Mosque in Al-Busaiteen on November 1, 2025, drawing over 600 students. However, learners of all ages attended, showing the community’s strong interest in Islamic knowledge. Scholars and students gathered in a lively and spiritually uplifting atmosphere to begin this educational journey.

During the session, Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Hajri delivered a moving talk on achieving a happy and meaningful life. He shared practical advice on living with faith, practicing patience, and keeping a pure heart. Students received clear guidance on applying Islamic knowledge to their studies and daily life.

The Basair Program combines memorizing texts with understanding lessons. This method helps students gain a deeper grasp of Islamic knowledge while keeping learning practical. A team of respected scholars supervises the program, and the General Directorate of Sunni Endowments supports it generously.

The program also encourages students to engage directly with scholars. Through discussions and questions, participants strengthen their understanding. This interaction ensures lessons have a real-life impact and encourages active learning.

Moreover, the Basair Program emphasizes personal growth alongside education. Students are urged to reflect on their actions, follow ethical principles, and behave with integrity. The program’s goal is to prepare a generation grounded in Islamic law and equipped for future challenges.

With this preparatory phase, Bahrain continues to advance Islamic knowledge and education. The program inspires students to value learning, develop spiritually, and apply lessons in practical ways. Future sessions will expand its reach and benefit more young Muslims across the Kingdom.

Overall, the Basair Program shows how Islamic knowledge can combine faith, learning, and personal growth. Its approach ensures students grow spiritually, intellectually, and ethically for a brighter future.
