Bahrain House of Representatives Delegation Joins Arab Parliamentary Training

The Bahrain House of Representatives has continued strengthening its professional development through training programs in Egypt. From August 17 to 21, 2025, a parliamentary delegation attended courses at the Center for Arab Parliamentary Diplomacy. This participation showed the ongoing commitment of the Bahrain House of Representatives to advancing skills and knowledge.

To begin with, the training aligned with administrative development goals set by the parliament. It aimed to raise professional standards and provide staff with updated tools. Moreover, it helped employees expand their knowledge base and improve their ability to manage legislative and oversight work.

The first program focused on parliamentary media in the age of artificial intelligence. Specifically, it covered the use of social media for parliamentary communication, strategies for raising political awareness, and the differences between digital and traditional media. In addition, trainers discussed the growing role of specialized media in strengthening the parliamentary message.

The media delegation included executive and senior communication specialists from the parliament’s General Secretariat. Together, they explored how artificial intelligence can improve the connection between parliament and the public. Furthermore, they learned about methods to enhance transparency and accessibility.

Meanwhile, another group joined the program on legislative drafting. This training explained how to translate policies into legal texts while maintaining clarity. It also included drafting definitions, dividing projects, and preparing cancellation or transition provisions. Additionally, participants gained practical skills in writing explanatory memoranda and legislative annexes.

Throughout the sessions, trainers encouraged practical exercises. For instance, participants reviewed examples of local and international legislation. Consequently, they gained direct experience that will help them apply these methods in their future work.

As a result, the programs highlighted the value of continuous training for parliamentary success. By improving staff expertise, the Bahrain House of Representatives ensures that legislative and media work remains strong and effective.

Looking ahead, these efforts will support the parliament’s ability to face modern challenges. At the same time, they reinforce cooperation with the Arab Parliament. Ultimately, through steady training initiatives, the Bahrain House of Representatives continues to build a skilled team dedicated to advancing its mission.
