The Minister underscored the importance of collaboration among GCC nations to promote sports tourism and strengthen intra-regional travel. With the Middle East witnessing an increasing number of international sports events, there is a strong opportunity to enhance cultural exchange while showcasing the rich heritage of the Gulf countries.

Bahrain’s Commitment to Sports Tourism

Sports tourism is a key pillar of Bahrain’s 2022-2026 tourism strategy, with a focus on bringing major global events to the Kingdom.
