Bahrain Bourse Closes Higher as Telecom Sector Drives Market Gains

Bahrain Bourse Closes Higher as the market showed upward movement on Sunday. The Bahrain All Share Index ended the day at 1,879.72, gaining 5.09 points compared to Thursday’s close. The Bahrain Islamic Index also rose, finishing at 767.46 after a 7.82-point increase.

Trading volume reached 967,900 shares with a total value of BHD 369,980. Investors completed 76 transactions across multiple sectors. Notably, the telecommunications sector dominated the market, capturing BHD 176,820 in trade value. This represented 47.79% of the day’s total. The sector also saw a volume of 385,730 shares through 25 transactions.

Bahrain Bourse Closes Higher due to strong activity in telecom stocks, particularly BEYON. The company ranked first in trading, with BHD 173,080 in value. That figure made up 46.78% of the day’s total trades. BEYON saw 353,170 shares exchanged in 23 separate transactions.

Following BEYON’s dominant performance, the National Bank of Bahrain secured the second-highest position in terms of trading value. The bank recorded a total trade value of BHD 38,200, which represented 10.32% of the day’s total market value. Throughout the trading session, 77,000 shares of the bank were exchanged.

Right behind it, Al Salam Bank claimed third place on the list of top-traded companies. The bank’s shares saw a total trading value of BHD 38,020, contributing 10.28% to the overall value of shares traded on the Bahrain Bourse that day. In total, 173,890 shares of Al Salam Bank changed hands, completed across 11 distinct transactions.

During the session, investors traded stocks from 16 different companies. Prices increased for two of these firms. Meanwhile, three companies saw price declines. The rest of the listed companies closed without any changes in value.

Bahrain Bourse Closes Higher and continues to show resilience in regional markets. The telecom sector, led by BEYON, remains a key driver. Market watchers will likely keep their focus on this segment moving forward.
