The two countries signed a new Memorandum of Understanding focused on enhancing collaboration in the security field. The signing took place during the 21st Regional Security Forum, known as the “Manama Dialogue 2025.”

From the Cypriot side, it was signed by Tasos Tzionis, National Security Advisor and Director of the Intelligence Service. Senior officials from both nations attended the ceremony, highlighting the importance of this milestone in security cooperation between Bahrain and Cyprus.

Nasser bin Hamad stated that the Memorandum supports Bahrain’s vision to expand global security partnerships. He explained that this step will strengthen both countries’ security networks and improve their readiness for regional and global challenges.

He also emphasized the steady growth of relations between Bahrain and Cyprus in multiple areas, especially in security and economics. According to him, this partnership shows mutual trust and a shared commitment to lasting stability and prosperity.
