Bahrain Accelerates Recovery Efforts After Iranian Strikes: Housing, Infrastructure, and Community Support Prioritized

Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa chaired the 297th session of the Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure. At the start, members focused on evaluating the impact of recent Iranian strikes. They also discussed support measures for residents whose homes suffered damage.

Following directives from Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, authorities are prioritizing housing repairs. The committee praised coordination between ministries to assess and document damage. As a result, officials are moving quickly to restore normal living conditions.

In addition, the Housing and Urban Planning Minister conducted field visits to affected areas. These visits included Hidd Housing City, where repair work is ongoing. Officials also inspected temporary housing units in Salman City. These units provide safe accommodation for displaced residents.

The Bahrain recovery efforts also highlighted strong cooperation between national institutions. The committee commended the readiness of the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard, and the Interior Ministry. These entities responded rapidly to recent developments. Furthermore, members discussed environmental and development projects. They reviewed plans to rehabilitate Tubli Bay. They also examined updates to the “Benayat” building permit system. In addition, officials looked at progress in managing used cooking oil waste.

The committee approved updates to property evaluation guidelines. It also endorsed several municipal projects under a national funding program. These steps aim to strengthen long-term development and governance.
