Tehran, Iran – His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, met with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, at Maqam Rahbri in Tehran on Wednesday.
The two leaders discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations between Qatar and Iran. Their conversation centered around enhancing cooperation and fostering friendship, with a particular focus on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Attending the meeting were Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian and several high-ranking officials. Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, was also present, along with other members of the official delegation.
This visit underscores Qatar’s continued diplomatic engagement with regional partners, especially amidst shifting geopolitical dynamics. The discussions reflect Qatar’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with neighboring countries.
