Abu Dhabi Police Expand AI Use With New Workshop On Future Readiness

Abu Dhabi Police have launched an AI policing workshop Abu Dhabi initiative aimed at strengthening future readiness and improving the use of advanced technologies in law enforcement operations.

The workshop focused on artificial intelligence applications in policing, with an emphasis on innovation, prediction tools, and operational efficiency. It formed part of a wider programme designed to integrate smart systems into daily security work.

Organisers said the AI policing workshop Abu Dhabi supports long-term plans to modernise police capabilities. It also aims to prepare teams for emerging challenges through data-driven decision-making and advanced analytical tools.

The Strategy and Future Department led the initiative under the Decision-Making Support and Institutional Development Sector. The Abu Dhabi Police AI Council also coordinated efforts to ensure technical and strategic alignment.

Officials explained that the programme is part of the 2026 AI Readiness strategy. This initiative encourages the practical use of artificial intelligence across different policing units. It also promotes innovation in developing solutions for future security challenges.

During the sessions, participants explored how artificial intelligence can improve forecasting and risk analysis. Teams worked on identifying potential threats and converting insights into practical applications.

The AI policing workshop Abu Dhabi also introduced a 90-day operational model. This framework allows specialised teams to test ideas, evaluate performance, and refine solutions before full implementation.

Participants included members of future readiness teams, technical experts, and institutional development specialists. They collaborated on designing prototype systems aimed at enhancing smart policing capabilities.

Colonel Obaid Abdullah Al Rumaithi said the initiative reflects Abu Dhabi Police’s commitment to adopting modern technologies. He added that artificial intelligence plays a growing role in improving operational flexibility and decision-making speed.

He also noted that the workshop supports ongoing efforts to build an adaptive security system. According to him, continuous training ensures personnel can respond effectively to evolving risks.

Discussions during the workshop also covered digital transformation strategies within law enforcement. Teams examined how AI tools can support crime prevention, emergency response, and resource allocation.

Authorities said the AI policing workshop Abu Dhabi represents a key step toward building a more intelligent and responsive security framework. They also highlighted the importance of collaboration between technical and operational departments.
