Team Qatar’s junior artistic gymnastics squad proudly secured the bronze medal in the team event at the West Asian Gymnastics Championship held in Amman, Jordan. This outstanding achievement highlights Qatar gymnasts and their rising talents, showcasing the country’s growing prominence in regional gymnastics. The remarkable performance of Qatar gymnasts at the West Asian Gymnastics Championship is a testament to their dedication and skill.

Among the standout performers was Ahmed Sameer, who contributed significantly to the team’s success by winning a bronze medal in the all-around competition. Moreover, Sameer dazzled spectators with his exceptional floor exercise routine, earning him a well-deserved gold medal. Equally impressive, his teammate Yousef Ahmed claimed the silver medal in the same apparatus, reinforcing the strength and depth of Qatar’s young gymnasts.

Although the individual apparatus finals are still underway, Team Qatar’s strong performances so far have raised hopes for additional medals. The junior team comprises Ahmed Sameer, Omar Al-Hefnawi, Yousef Ahmed, and Fares Shadi, each demonstrating remarkable skill and determination.

Qatar Gymnastics Federation President Ali Al-Hitmi praised the team’s results as a significant milestone. He said, “What the junior team has achieved proves that we are on the right path toward a promising future. This success strengthens Qatar’s position in the regional and international gymnastics community.”

He added, “We are extremely proud of these results. They reflect the dedicated efforts of our technical and administrative teams to develop gymnastics in Qatar. Our athletes showed tremendous fighting spirit and proved they are capable of reaching the podium on the international stage.”

With this performance, Qatar’s junior gymnasts are setting a strong foundation for future success, positioning the nation as an emerging force in West Asian gymnastics.
