Shura Council Speaker Congratulates Award-Winning Secretary-General

The Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, congratulated Karima Al-Abbasi, the Secretary-General of the Shura Council, for receiving the Arab Parliamentary Excellence Award. She was honored as the “Parliament Secretary-General” by the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union. The award ceremony took place during the 38th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in Algeria. This event was attended by parliamentary leaders from various Gulf and Arab nations.

The Speaker expressed that this award highlights Bahraini women’s achievements and contributions to national development. It reflects the ongoing support they receive from the leadership, particularly from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa. Their support strengthens the role of women in Bahraini society.

Al-Saleh praised Al-Abbasi’s remarkable contributions in her role as Secretary-General. She has played a pivotal role in enhancing the effectiveness of the Shura Council. Her work has helped improve collaboration between the council’s members and deepened the overall development of the Secretariat.
