Bahrain Highlights Its Global Role in Foreign Relations and Human Rights

Bahraini parliamentarians showcased Bahrain’s regional and international efforts during the fourth session of the Arab Parliament in Baghdad. MP Mamdouh Al-Saleh and MP Hisham Al-Asheri represented Bahrain at the event held on Monday, April 21.

Bahrain’s global role in diplomacy was a focus of discussion. Al-Saleh emphasized that Bahrain consistently strengthens international relations. He also noted Bahrain’s strategy of building partnerships to support peace and stability. This reflects the country’s long-term goal of strengthening global cooperation.

Al-Saleh highlighted Bahrain’s recent outreach to global powers. He pointed to visits to China and Russia as examples of balanced diplomacy. These visits created new pathways for dialogue, cooperation, and mutual interests. They also showed Bahrain’s respect for sovereignty and regional peace.

Moreover, Al-Saleh stressed Bahrain’s efforts to unify the Arab stance. He said Bahrain continues to close divisions and encourage harmony in the Arab and Islamic worlds. These initiatives form part of Bahrain’s leadership during the current Arab Summit.

Meanwhile, MP Hisham Al-Asheri shed light on Bahrain’s dedication to human rights. He explained that Bahrain actively promotes tolerance and peaceful coexistence. The country has also made global efforts to support rights, fight human trafficking, and strengthen humanitarian values.

Al-Asheri also discussed Bahrain’s work within the Arab region. He called for unified Arab mechanisms to protect human rights and develop stronger communities. He said collaboration among Arab states is crucial for long-term progress.

The Arab Parliament meeting also reviewed reports from standing committees. A draft resolution on Palestine and occupied territories was discussed. The session covered several pressing regional topics as well.
