Bahrain’s Minister of Education, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, recently announced a significant achievement in the country’s education sector. The Ministry granted academic accreditation in Bahrain to 94 programs across various public and private higher education institutions. These programs received five-year accreditation after meeting the rigorous criteria set by the Higher Education Council.
The newly accredited programs span a wide range of disciplines. At the University of Bahrain, 33 programs received approval, including 27 Bachelor’s and 6 Master’s degrees. Bahrain Polytechnic also had six Bachelor’s programs accredited. Ahlia University saw 15 programs approved, including a PhD program. Other institutions such as the Applied Science University, the Royal University for Women, and the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance also benefited from this decision.
