As part of the Ramadan Campaign #FruitfulGiving 2025/1446 AH, the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), in collaboration with the Hayat Yolu Association, is distributing food parcels to fasting individuals in Gaza. This is under the Ramadan Iftar project.
So far, 1,500 food parcels have been delivered. A total of 15,300 parcels are planned for distribution across the besieged enclave. The initiative is funded by Qatar’s Afif Charity and aims to support families struggling due to ongoing hardships.
Dr. Mohamed Salah Ibrahim, Assistant Secretary-General for Relief and International Development at QRCS, supervised the packaging process in Deir Al-Balah, Central Gaza. Additionally, QRCS personnel distributed 103 food parcels at the Insan Camp in the Central Governorate. This camp shelters over 60 wounded and chronically ill Palestinians, including those with kidney failure, cancer, and disabilities.
“We specifically chose this camp, home to 150 families, many of whom suffer from serious medical conditions. Our goal is to bring some relief and joy to these patients by providing essential food supplies,” Dr. Ibrahim stated. He emphasized QRCS’s commitment to addressing urgent humanitarian needs across Gaza through donor contributions and community support.
Furthermore, QRCS, in coordination with the Gazze Destek Organization, is preparing and serving hot meals as part of the Ramadan Iftar project. To date, 21,890 meals have been distributed. A total target of 227,367 meals is set to be provided throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan in shelters across Northern and Southern Gaza. This initiative aims to support families affected by the ongoing conflict and blockade.
