Visa Introduces ‘Tap to Add Card’ in Qatar for Secure Digital Payments

Doha, Qatar: Visa has launched its innovative ‘Tap to Add Card’ feature in Qatar. It offers a seamless and secure way for cardholders to add their Visa contactless cards to digital wallets with a simple tap on their mobile device. This advancement marks a major step in digital wallet provisioning. It caters to the increasing demand for secure and efficient payment solutions.

Unlike traditional manual entry methods, which are prone to errors and security risks, Tap to Add Card generates a unique, one-time code validated by Visa’s Chip Authenticate service. This process ensures secure provisioning of card credentials. Meanwhile, it significantly enhances speed and security.

Shashank Singh, Visa’s VP and General Manager for Qatar and Kuwait, expressed enthusiasm about the launch. He stated, “We are excited to bring the enhanced security and simplicity of Tap to Add Card to Qatar. This solution provides cardholders with greater peace of mind, knowing their information is protected by advanced security measures. We believe it will drive further adoption of digital wallets in Qatar. This is by addressing key security concerns and improving the user experience.”

The technology is compatible with digital wallets worldwide. It ensures seamless integration and an enhanced payment experience for users. With this launch, Visa continues to lead innovation in digital payments. This makes transactions more convenient and secure for consumers in Qatar.
