Finance Ministry Orders Evacuation of West Doha Chalets for Jahra Waterfront Project

The Ministry of Finance has issued an official notification to tenants of the West Doha chalets, instructing them to vacate the premises by March 31, 2025. This directive was delivered via the “Sahel” application.

The decision comes after receiving a letter from Kuwait Municipality in January, which included Municipal Council Resolution No. (MB/F6/164/06/2024 D 3). This resolution approved the allocation of land from the Western Doha Station to the Jahra Nature Reserve for the development of the Jahra Waterfront Project (Corniche).

As part of the project’s advancement, the Ministry of Finance will oversee the evacuation of 116 chalets. The properties will be handed over to the Kuwait Municipality after the termination of the current rental contracts. The Ministry emphasized that all necessary procedures will be followed to facilitate the process smoothly.
