QPO to Host Annual Concert in Partnership with QMA

Doha, Qatar – The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) will present its annual community concert in collaboration with the Qatar Music Academy (QMA) on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 7 PM at Katara’s Opera House.

The event will feature a dynamic blend of young soloists from QMA, the Qatar Youth Orchestra, the Masters Takht, and the String Orchestra. They will perform alongside professional musicians from the QPO. The concert will showcase classical masterpieces by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Camille Saint-Saëns, and more.

QPO Executive Director, Kurt Meister, emphasized the concert’s significance:
“This partnership provides a crucial platform for young musicians to gain exposure and experience, which can shape their future careers. It also aims to inspire aspiring musicians across Qatar and beyond.”

Zlatan Fazlic, Director of QMA, highlighted the concert’s impact:
“Performing with a professional orchestra is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that enhances technical skills, discipline, and artistic expression. This invaluable experience nurtures both personal and musical growth.”

The initiative not only supports young artists but also strengthens Qatar’s cultural landscape. It fosters a deeper appreciation for classical music and artistic excellence.
