The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has launched a new leadership programme aimed at strengthening digital transformation and preparing senior officers to meet the demands of an increasingly technology-driven security environment.
The Strategic Leadership for Digital Transformation programme was inaugurated at the Officers’ Institute of the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences under the patronage of General Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office and Head of the Office of the Supreme Commander.
The opening ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, along with senior police officials.
Organised in partnership with international experts, the programme is designed to enhance leadership capabilities in digital transformation while promoting the use of advanced technologies to improve security operations.
Participants will receive training on applying modern technologies and smart data to support security decision-making, while also developing skills in innovation, organisational change and strategic planning.
The initiative also seeks to strengthen the integration of security and technology by improving institutional readiness to address digital challenges and cybersecurity requirements.
The Royal Oman Police said the programme forms part of its broader efforts to modernise security services through advanced smart systems and prepare the organisation for future technological developments.
