Doha College Student Secures Fourth Place in Global Space Competition 2026

A student from Doha College has achieved international recognition after securing fourth place worldwide in the International Space Competition 2026 with her project, “Martian Gateway.”

Miss Aaraadhana Radhakrishnan was shortlisted among the top 10 international finalists before being awarded fourth position in the global competition, which brought together young innovators passionate about space exploration, engineering, and scientific advancement.

Her project, “Martian Gateway,” presents a vision for future human exploration of Mars by exploring the development of a strategic space gateway to support long-duration missions and sustainable exploration beyond Earth.

The concept focuses on addressing challenges linked to deep-space travel while highlighting the role of emerging technologies in enabling future missions to Mars. Judges recognized the project for its originality, scientific approach, and forward-looking ideas.

Competing against students from around the world, Aaraadhana’s achievement places her among promising young innovators contributing to the future of space science and technology.

The accomplishment reflects Doha College’s commitment to encouraging creativity, research, and STEM education while highlighting Qatar’s growing role in supporting innovation among young learners.
