Bahrain Minister Meets US Ambassador on Education

The Minister of Education in Bahrain has met the United States Ambassador to the Kingdom, Stephanie Lynn Hallett, to discuss cooperation in education and wider bilateral relations.

The meeting was held in Manama and brought together officials to review areas of shared interest between the two countries, particularly in the development of education systems and academic exchange.

The Minister, Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, who also chairs the Higher Education Council, highlighted the long-standing partnership between Bahrain and the United States, describing it as a strategic relationship that continues to expand across multiple sectors.

The Minister of Education receives the US Ambassador to Bahrain during discussions that focused on strengthening collaboration in early education, general schooling, and higher education, according to official statements.

Both sides discussed opportunities to further enhance cooperation in education policy, institutional development, and knowledge exchange, reflecting ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between Gulf states and international partners.

Educational cooperation has been an increasing focus in Gulf–US relations in recent years, with several initiatives aimed at improving academic standards, research collaboration, as well as student exchange programmes across the region.

Officials noted that the discussions also covered additional topics of mutual interest, though no further details were released.
