Kuwait Police Arrest Suspects in Thefts and Alcohol Trafficking Cases

Authorities in Kuwait have arrested several suspects in separate criminal cases involving theft, drug-related warrants, and alleged alcohol trafficking, as part of ongoing security operations across the country.

Police said two individuals were detained inside an electrical transformer site after patrol officers spotted them during a field inspection. The suspects were allegedly attempting to steal electrical cables using cutting tools when they were intercepted by security forces.

In a separate incident, Kuwait officers responded to a report of theft at an asphalt factory. A suspect vehicle was stopped during the operation, and the driver was found in possession of stolen iron materials. Authorities also confirmed that the driver had three outstanding arrest warrants issued by the General Department for Drug Control, in addition to an unserved one-month prison sentence. The vehicle was seized as part of the investigation.

Security forces in the Hawally area also arrested two individuals following a pursuit after they allegedly resisted arrest and attempted to flee. During the search of their vehicle, officers discovered 85 bottles suspected to contain alcoholic beverages, along with 4,710 Kuwaiti dinars in cash.

Police said the suspects admitted during questioning that the items were intended for trafficking. The driver was additionally found to be wanted under a separate arrest warrant.

All suspects, along with seized evidence, have been referred to the relevant legal authorities for further investigation and action.
