The Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force, Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received Sharif Mahmoud Abdel Fattah Afifi during an official meeting in Manama. Meanwhile, the visiting official serves as Egypt’s Defence Attaché to Bahrain and resides in Riyadh.
During the meeting, both sides discussed long-standing relations between Bahrain and Egypt. In addition, they highlighted steady progress in joint military coordination. Therefore, officials emphasized continued collaboration in defense and security fields.
Furthermore, the discussions reflected mutual interest in strengthening military ties. Both sides also acknowledged the importance of ongoing cooperation. As a result, this engagement supports the broader framework of Bahrain defense cooperation in the region.
At the same time, Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi held a separate meeting with Rustem Umerov. The visiting official serves as Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council. He also acts as a special envoy for defense cooperation with Gulf countries.
During this meeting, both sides reviewed relations between Bahrain and Ukraine. Moreover, they explored new opportunities to enhance cooperation in defense sectors. Therefore, the talks aimed to deepen strategic engagement between the two countries.
In addition, officials discussed ways to expand collaboration through joint initiatives. They also considered future partnerships that support regional stability. Consequently, these efforts align with Bahrain’s broader defense strategy.
