The second defendant then contacted the supplier and placed an order worth 32 dinars. He completed the payment using a financial application. Afterward, he collected the drugs from a designated location using a dead drop method. He later delivered the substances to the first defendant.
The first defendant quickly sold the drugs to a buyer for 45 dinars. As a result, both defendants continued their activities. Soon after, they arranged another purchase using the same method. This pattern showed clear intent to expand their illegal operation.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Narcotics Department received intelligence about suspicious activities. Confidential sources reported that one defendant possessed drugs for trafficking and personal use. Therefore, authorities intensified their investigation and identified the suspect.
Investigators then secured a legal warrant to arrest and search the defendant. At the same time, a confidential informant built contact with him. The informant arranged a controlled purchase for 30 dinars. They agreed on a specific time and location for the exchange.
On the planned day, security teams monitored the situation closely. First, the suspect approached the informant’s vehicle briefly. Then, the second defendant arrived on a motorcycle. He handed over a substance that was later confirmed as narcotics.
Immediately after the exchange, the informant signaled authorities. Security forces moved quickly and arrested both defendants at the scene. Furthermore, officers searched the motorcycle and discovered drug packets and plastic bags. They also found 55 dinars believed to be illegal proceeds.
