Qatar Armed Forces Protect Sovereignty Amid Regional Tensions

Qatar leaders praised the Qatar Armed Forces response after Iranian attacks targeted several areas across the country. The cabinet said the military acted quickly and protected national security. Officials also said the Qatar Armed Forces response showed strong readiness and effective coordination during a dangerous situation.

During a cabinet meeting in Doha on Wednesday, ministers discussed the latest security developments and reviewed the country’s preparedness. The meeting took place under the leadership of Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. Officials praised the armed forces for their rapid response and strong operational readiness. They also highlighted the close cooperation between military units and national security authorities.

In addition, the cabinet recognized the efforts of the Ministry of Interior of Qatar and other government agencies. These institutions worked continuously to ensure public safety and maintain essential services. Authorities monitored developments around the clock. Their actions helped maintain stability across the country during the attacks.

Ministers strongly condemned the Iranian strikes against Qatari territory. They described the attacks as a serious violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity. Officials warned that such actions threaten stability across the Gulf region. However, they reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to dialogue and peaceful conflict resolution.

At the same time, leaders emphasized the country’s right to defend its sovereignty. Officials said international law allows states to respond proportionately to external threats. They stressed that protecting national security remains a top priority.

The cabinet also condemned Iranian attacks targeting several regional countries. These countries include Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan. Officials expressed solidarity with these nations and supported their efforts to protect sovereignty and stability.

Meanwhile, Qatar thanked friendly countries that expressed solidarity after the attacks. Several governments condemned the strikes and supported Qatar’s security and sovereignty.

During the meeting, Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani briefed ministers on military operations. He explained that air defense systems successfully countered several threats. Fighter aircraft and early warning systems also operated at full efficiency. These capabilities strengthened the Qatar Armed Forces response and protected critical infrastructure.

In addition, Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani provided an update on the internal security situation. He confirmed that security conditions remain stable and fully under control. Authorities continue monitoring developments across the country. Protecting citizens, residents, and visitors remains the highest priority.

Ministers responsible for key sectors also reviewed national preparedness plans. They assessed readiness in food security, energy, health services, education, transportation, and cybersecurity. Officials also examined environmental and climate response capabilities.

Furthermore, the cabinet confirmed that strategic reserves of food and essential goods remain available. Supply chains continue operating smoothly across the country. Hospitals also maintain sufficient stocks of medicines and medical equipment. As a result, officials said national institutions remain fully prepared for any developments.
