Oman Cracks Down on Crime with Nationwide Police Operations

Oman strengthens security with a series of coordinated police operations across the country. Authorities focused on drug trafficking, theft, and illegal entry. In the Wilayat of Seeb, the Directorate for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances arrested two Asian nationals. Officers found them in possession of marijuana and crystal meth intended for trafficking and personal use. Legal proceedings are now underway, reflecting the authorities’ strict enforcement measures. Furthermore, police emphasized the importance of monitoring narcotics to safeguard the community.

Meanwhile, in Al Musannah, South Al Batinah Governorate Police apprehended another Asian national carrying large quantities of narcotics. These substances were also meant for trafficking and consumption. The authorities confirmed that legal action is proceeding promptly. Such operations demonstrate a coordinated effort to disrupt drug networks and protect public health.

In North Al Batinah Governorate, police arrested eight individuals accused of stealing livestock in the Wilayats of Suwaiq and Sohar. Investigations are ongoing, and legal measures are actively pursued against the suspects. Authorities also emphasized that preventing theft and protecting property remain top priorities. These arrests show Oman strengthens security by targeting criminal activity effectively.

Additionally, in Musandam Governorate, police detained 13 Asian nationals for illegal entry through various locations.
