Kuwait’s National Day Celebrations Strengthen Cultural Ties with Egypt

Kuwait’s National Day celebrations showcased unity and diplomacy, reflecting strong Kuwaiti-Egyptian cultural ties. The 65th National Day and 35th Liberation Day highlighted ongoing friendship and cooperation between the two nations. Key officials and diplomats gathered in Cairo at the Kuwaiti Embassy and its Mission to the Arab League to honor the milestones.

Ambassador Ghanim Al-Ghanim welcomed attendees, emphasizing that Kuwait’s National Day celebrations strengthen cultural ties and highlight deep historical bonds with Egypt. He praised the long-standing cooperation between the countries and stressed Kuwait’s commitment to regional stability. The ambassador also reaffirmed Kuwait’s support for Palestinian rights and acknowledged Egypt’s role in facilitating humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Representing the Egyptian government, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Sherif Farouk congratulated Kuwait on the national occasions. He underscored that Kuwaiti-Egyptian relations serve as a model for Arab cooperation. Farouk highlighted economic collaboration, including Kuwait’s position as one of Egypt’s largest investors. He further noted ongoing projects in food security, trade, and development initiatives, which enhance bilateral cooperation.

Members of the Egyptian Parliament, including Sameh Shoukry and Dr. Ahmad Abdel-Ghani, praised Kuwait’s leadership for fostering regional stability. They stressed that the celebrations reflect historical trust and close cultural connections. Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber and other officials conveyed congratulations, wishing continued progress and prosperity for Kuwait.

During the event, traditional Kuwaiti folk arts were performed, featuring the “Ardhah” musical presentation.
