Al-Maliki Warns Iraq Against Dark Forces Ahead of Elections

Dark forces threaten Iraq once again, according to State of Law coalition leader Nouri al-Maliki. Speaking in Babil during an electoral gathering, he stressed that Iraq must protect its political system from both internal and external threats. From his perspective, safeguarding Iraq’s political process represents a national duty that cannot be postponed.

During his speech, al-Maliki declared that dark forces seek to drag Iraq back into chaos. However, he underlined that his coalition remains determined to prevent dictatorship and sectarian divisions. He also vowed to block any attempts to revive mass graves or destructive wars. Instead, he emphasized that the future of Iraq lies in unity, strength, and democratic progress.

Furthermore, al-Maliki argued that the Iraqi constitution provides the foundation for coexistence. He called on citizens to respect it as the only guarantee for a peaceful transfer of power. In his view, only through elections can Iraq secure stability and deliver better governance. For that reason, he described elections as a constitutional entitlement that no one should delay. According to him, any postponement would lead directly to a collapse of the democratic process.

Moreover, al-Maliki criticized campaigns of rumors and propaganda. He urged Iraqis not to fall into manipulation. Instead, he insisted that people must participate with confidence and determination. He highlighted that leaders must focus on services, jobs, and poverty reduction rather than personal power. He pointed out that Iraq deserves a government that prioritizes people’s needs and rejects foreign interference.

Additionally, al-Maliki stated that the time of tanks, coups, and conspiracies has ended. He said the new era must rest on elections and constitutional legitimacy. He affirmed that his coalition will push forward to form parliament and government through democratic means. By doing so, he promised to keep the political process alive and resilient.

In conclusion, al-Maliki repeated that dark forces will not succeed in destabilizing Iraq. He maintained that only strong institutions and committed leadership can secure the country’s future. He also reminded supporters that the will of the people will shape the next government and protect the nation from destructive agendas.
