Qatar to Host Spectacular T100 Triathlon World Championship Final in Lusail

Qatar is preparing to welcome the world’s best athletes as Lusail City hosts the 2025 T100 Triathlon World Championship Final. The Qatar T100 Triathlon will take place from December 10 to 13, marking another milestone in the country’s sporting journey.

From the start, organizers highlighted Lusail’s stunning venues and world-class facilities. The championship includes a 2km swim in the Arabian Gulf, an 80km cycle through iconic city streets, and an 18km run across Lusail Plaza and Boulevard. These routes will showcase Lusail’s waterfront and its landmark Lusail Stadium, which gained fame as the site of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final.

Furthermore, the event represents the exciting climax of the T100 Triathlon World Tour season. Top male and female triathletes will compete for the world title. The Qatar T100 Triathlon not only attracts elite athletes but also opens the door for amateur participation. In fact, opportunities include the inaugural Age Group World Championships, a 100km open-entry race, and a sprint-distance triathlon.

In addition, community spirit will shine through special events. On December 10, residents and visitors can join a mass 5k/1km fun run. The following day, Lusail Plaza will come alive with an event and fan village, offering dining, entertainment, and an expo. On December 12, the season-long “Race to Qatar” concludes with the professional championship races. Finally, December 13 will celebrate amateur athletes with multiple race options.

Moreover, organizers confirmed that a youth triathlon will also be introduced, with more details expected soon. The aim is to inspire younger generations while promoting active lifestyles across the region.

The T100 Triathlon World Tour spans nine races globally, beginning in Singapore and ending in Qatar. The final carries increased points, making performances in Lusail decisive for both men’s and women’s standings. Notably, past champions such as Taylor Knibb and Marten Van Riel are expected to headline the elite field alongside athletes from 13 countries.

Ultimately, the Qatar T100 Triathlon reinforces Qatar’s growing status as a hub for international sport. By hosting major events like Formula 1 and the AFC Asian Cup, Qatar continues to inspire athletes and fans worldwide.
