This incident has raised serious concerns regarding the safety of older buildings and the potential risks they pose to public safety.

The Municipal Council expressed its deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones. It also offered wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured in the explosion. The Council commended the quick response and efforts of the Civil Defense Department, Ministry of Interior, and medical teams. These efforts were vital in rescuing the wounded and providing immediate care.
