In a farewell meeting held in Erbil, Qatar’s outgoing Consul General, Hussain Bin Ali Al-Fadala, met with Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani. During the meeting, they reflected on diplomatic progress and expressed mutual support for deeper ties.

Al-Fadala praised the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) for its service projects, highlighting the successful 24-hour water and electricity initiative. This project reflects the KRG’s determination to improve infrastructure and meet public needs.

Prime Minister Barzani thanked the Qatari envoy for his contributions and expressed hope for stronger relations in the future. He emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between Erbil and Doha.

Additionally, both sides discussed the strategic value of the Qatar-KRG partnership in regional development. They stressed the need for continued coordination in areas such as infrastructure, diplomacy, and public welfare.

Al-Fadala acknowledged the support his mission received from the KRG. He highlighted the government’s role in ensuring a productive and respectful diplomatic environment.

Furthermore, the outgoing diplomat praised the KRG’s commitment to delivering essential services. He noted that projects like uninterrupted water and electricity show serious progress.

This recognition reflects international appreciation for the KRG’s work in public service delivery. It also boosts confidence in ongoing partnerships. As the meeting concluded, both sides looked ahead with optimism. They expressed shared interest in building on their recent momentum.

The Qatar-KRG partnership now stands as a model of positive regional cooperation. It demonstrates how shared goals can create real progress. Qatar reaffirmed its desire to deepen ties with the Kurdistan Region. Officials expect future engagements to focus on development, innovation, and people-centered initiatives.
