Dhamani Health Insurance Platform Sees Strong Growth in 2025

The Dhamani health insurance platform has experienced a major boost in activity during the first half of 2025. According to a newly released report, the platform processed more than 4.2 million transactions between January and June. This figure clearly signals the growing influence of the Dhamani health insurance platform across Oman’s healthcare sector.

In fact, Dhamani is quickly becoming the central link between insurers and healthcare providers. It now averages 40,000 transactions daily. This rise in volume shows increasing public reliance on the digital platform for health insurance services.

Specifically, out of the 4.2 million transactions, 2.3 million were eligibility verifications for insured individuals. In addition, 1.4 million medical approvals were recorded. Meanwhile, the remaining 700,000 transactions came from hospital-submitted claims.

Moreover, the platform achieved a significant financial milestone. Insurance companies electronically transferred OMR 3.5 million to healthcare providers through the system. This achievement clearly demonstrates the Dhamani health insurance platform’s focus on transparency and efficiency in financial operations.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Health confirmed the expansion of Dhamani’s healthcare network. As of June 2025, the platform links 33 hospitals, 37 health complexes, 33 specialized health centers, and 20 private clinics. Together, these partnerships help reduce paperwork and allow faster service delivery for patients.

In recent years, the government has pushed digital transformation in healthcare. Consequently, the success of the Dhamani health insurance platform reflects this strategy. It reduces delays, lowers administrative costs, and ensures consistent communication between hospitals and insurers.

Additionally, Dhamani improves access to real-time data for all stakeholders. This benefit allows faster decision-making and quicker patient care approvals. Notably, healthcare professionals across the country have welcomed the platform’s growing presence. Many report shorter approval times and better claim processing through Dhamani.

As a result, as Oman works to strengthen its healthcare services, digital tools like Dhamani remain essential. They improve service delivery, increase trust between stakeholders, and support national health reform goals.

Looking ahead, officials expect the platform to grow even further in the second half of the year. With strong adoption and continued system upgrades, Dhamani is set to become an even more vital part of Oman’s healthcare future.
