Isa Award Field Research Begins in Bangladesh to Evaluate Humanitarian Finalist

Isa Award Field Research Begins as Bahrain intensifies efforts to recognize global humanitarian contributions. The Board of Trustees of the Isa Award for Service to Humanity has approved a shortlist of finalists for the 2024–2025 edition.

Following that decision, the next phase is already in motion. A dedicated field research team has officially departed for Bangladesh. Their mission is to conduct detailed on-site evaluations of one of the top nominees—the BRAC Foundation.

Isa Award Field Research Begins with a team that includes the Secretary-General of the award and a board member. They plan to closely observe the foundation’s work and confirm its alignment with the award’s humanitarian standards. The BRAC Foundation runs wide-reaching programs in healthcare, education, and poverty alleviation across Bangladesh.

The evaluation will cover all necessary aspects of BRAC’s operations. From community impact to transparency, the team will assess whether the foundation meets the strict selection criteria. Their findings will significantly influence the final decision.

Renowned legal scholar Jan Paulsson chairs the international jury, which previously completed its review of all nominees. After thorough discussions and evaluations, the jury finalized a list of candidates for the sixth edition of the award. These recommendations were then submitted to the Board of Trustees for final consideration.

In parallel with the research efforts, the Board of Trustees has also started preparations for the award ceremony. This ceremony will celebrate the contributions of the winning individual or organization to humanitarian service. It will be held in Bahrain and will take place under the patronage of the country’s leadership.

Isa Award Field Research Begins as a clear example of Bahrain’s dedication to honoring global humanitarian efforts. This award not only celebrates exceptional service but also reinforces Bahrain’s role in encouraging compassion and social impact. Through this initiative, Bahrain continues to position itself as a supporter of global humanitarian excellence.
